Family Law
Clare has practical experience in family law through her work with Legal Aid Ontario, the Ministry of the Attorney General’s Family Responsibility Office and the Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic. In her family law practice she’s litigated frequently in both the Ontario Court of Justice and Superior Court. Clare accepts both Legal Aid Certificates and private family law files.
Immigration and Refugee Law
As a member of the Legal Aid Ontario Immigration and Refugee Roster, Clare assists clients in making refugee claims as well as humanitarian and compassionate applications. In her refugee practice, she’s aided by her extensive knowledge in human rights law.
Human Rights Law
Clare has an LLM in human rights law from Osgoode Hall and is currently a Doctoral Candidate at Osgoode. She has experience working with United Nations Human Rights and consulting on human rights issues with the Senate of Canada. In her research, Clare focuses on sections 7 and 15 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Clare accepts private files for clients seeking to bring human rights claims.
